A few finishings

Thank you all SO much for your wonderful compliments on my CHS letters!! It means a lot to hear from you -- especially when you have such nice things to say... LOL... And don't forget to take some of the credit yourself, because so much of what I do is inspired by reading YOUR blogs and seeing the wonderful things that YOU do!!

My smalls frenzy from two weeks ago turned into a steady finishing trickle... :o) You've already seen my scissors fob, here's what I have done with "Je Brode... et Vous?":

I painted the little box red (previously vomity-green), stretched the stitching over a few layers of batting, attached it to a piece of cardboard and glued it into the box.

"AmitiƩ":
And "Sweet as the Flower":

The mattress style pin-cushion was a first for me and it was a lot of fun to make, but -- and why did I not think of this sooner -- WHY did I profess my love for Erik on a PIN-CUSHION??? This cannot be good... Do I have some kind of voodoo thing going on...?? I worry, you know...

As long as you've only filled the pincushion with batting, and not with hair and nail clippings of Erik's, you should be able to escape the voodoo curse. LOL!

(And if you did stuff it with hair and nail clippings, I really don't want to know!)

They're all lovely, congratulations

Your finishes look great! And the pincushion for Erik must be a subconscious thing. And I guess the number of pins stuck in it on any given day depends on how much love (or not) you happen to be feeling at that time? I think I'll make a hubby pincushion myself, great idea!

Oooh, they're lovely! The heart turned out really nice. And as for Erik's pincushion: can't you just call it a small pillow and not stick needles in it?

Very Nice Harmien :) I love the box....what are you going to keep in it? And you DID profess your love for Erik in a "mattress" *blush* style pin cushion...I would think that makes it a little better than just a plain 'ol pin cushion :)
Everything you done from start to finish is beautiful as always :)

Pincushions - Small pillow ... Perhaps just skip adding pins LOL

I like what you did with your Je Brode et vous? I have not done anything with my pattern.

I would really like to make a small keychain and attach it to my handbag. You did a nice job putting it into a newly painted box.
