FRT's

I cannot compete with Staci for the title of Queen of Floss Ring Tags so rightly bestowed upon her by Vonna, nor would I want to! However her little beauties did inspire me to dabble a little with stitchings and eyelets and hammers, oh my... :o)
With her help, her tutorial, her eyelets, and in fact her floss rings -- did I tell you she is a sweetheart? She is! -- I made...

Presents from Poland

Another surprise package, can you believe it, my fellow stitchers are truly spoiling me... Look at what Anna sent me from Poland!!

She so generously offered me The Sampler Girl's "My Everything" chart once she was finished with it, but not only did she sent me that, she added wonderful Easter goodies and a bag of seriously tasty Polish sweets!!

And prettiest of all this gorgeous Prairie Schooler ornament, isn't it sweet!!?

Just look at the way she 'signed' it!! What a fabulous idea!! I may have to 'borrow' that... LOL!!

Thank you, Anna, for your generosity and your kind heart!!

And here's what managed to lift my stitching funk last week... :o)
Thank you, Tanya!

The Kindness of Stitchers

Last week I received not one but TWO most amazing and overwhelming Acts of Kindness. I'm still not entirely sure what I did to deserve it, but two fabulous stitchers/bloggers brought tears to my eyes with their thoughtful and generous gifts and I can't thank them enough!

The wonderful Becky sent me a gift certificate that made me blush. Seriously. For someone who has been on a stash diet for two+ months -- and let me tell you, watching the new releases from the Nashville Needlework Market was torture!! -- this is heaven!! I've already sought the advice of a fellow stitcher/blogger and she assures me that acquiring stash by redeeming a gc is in no way a violation of my New Year's resolution and my butt is therefore still firmly planted on the wagon, whilst I still get to enjoy the enormous pleasure of drooling over my keyboard deciding what to get!!

And if that wasn't enough I received an amazing surprise package filled with goodies and heartfelt wishes from Tanya just to cheer me up and help me through my stitching slump!!! Three of her very own gorgeous designs to entice me to pick up that needle... "At Home With Jane Austen", "A Turn in the Garden" and my absolute favourite "My Love For You Sampler"!!!

And it worked!!!!!! Together these ladies have found and returned my mojo!! After two endless weeks of stitchy misery I have started two new projects and I'm loving every stitch!!

Dear ladies, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful gifts, and even more so for your kind thoughts and warm hearts!

Warning: this is not a toy!

No news on the mojo front, it's still hiding somewhere, but a while ago the wonderful Deb at Lavender Rose Ramblings brought a very cheeky little fella to my attention and I just could not resist him!! I am sad to say it was rather obvious that once finished he would have to go and live with Annemarie. With her string of bad luck she needed some assistance warding off evil, hence...

Stick it to him, girl!!

Stiching with red, feeling blue...

As promised FINALLY a progress picture on Cirque des Triangles (Ink Circles Designs)!!
For some weird and wonderful reason the fabric -- 32ct Copper Beech (Countrystitch) -- is really hard to photograph. In natural light the colour is warm and rich, and in artificial light it takes on a cold grey quality. It's alive...LOL... I rather like it!! The floss remains a constant warm and beautiful Olde Colonial Red (Carrie's Threads)!!

My progress dates from a week ago because I have been in a funk... stitch and otherwise... *sigh*... I haven't crossed a stitch in 7 days... yes, I have been counting. Things haven't been going the way I want them to go, and as it turns out... I'm about as flexible as a brick wall! My mojo has left for higher grounds and I keep staring at my stitching, unable to find the 'umph' to pick it up. Kitting up various projects, hoping one of them is going to call out my name hasn't helped...

One thing that put a big smile on my face though, was a wonderful surprise from Willeke last week!! She sent me these really cute and tiny buttons and charms as part of a swap, and not only that, she included a gorgeous biscornu!!! Look!
What an unexpected treat! Thank you, Willeke!!

Swapping charts with fellow stitchers has been so much fun that I've added a few more to my trade/swap blog. They would dearly like to find a good home... :o)... Feel free to have a look around to see if there's anything you like!!
