OMG, it's a finish!!

I actually have a finish!! Not something I did months ago, but a finish I actually did very very recently!!!!!! It was done under duress (my own), but I'm glad I cracked the whip, otherwise I would probably still be hiding away in a corner feeling sorry for myself... So, without further ado a post-stitching-slump-fall-ornament!!

freebie Plaid Pumpkin
by Hillside Samplings

This fall ornament was part of a little package I sent to Staci to say thanks for all of her support. And guess what... On the very day of my success, Vonna's sweet sweet gift -- the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament Issue 2008 - arrived, and the fun jut kept on going... LOL!!! Aren't these two ladies just the VERY VERY BEST?!!!
The JCS magazine inspired me to finish some ornaments I had stitched earlier in the year...
Noel (Bent Creek; JCS Christmas Ornament Issue 2003)
Winter Love (SamSarah; JCS Christmas Ornament Issue ?)
Swedish Christmas Star (Mary Garry)
element from Seasonal Mementos (Mary Garry)
Merry Christmas (Carriage House Samplings)

-- here's the back of the ornaments with a green blob where a certain person's initials are... ;o)

... and I started the Cherished Stitches mini biscornu. More pictures soon!!
Until then... take care!!

100

More than two months without stitching... Can you believe it?! Two months without blogging as well, although I have tried to keep up with all of your blogs!!

I am so behind, I hardly know where to begin... Many weeks ago I received a surprise gift from Deborah (Florida/no blog) who picked one of the charts of my wish list to surprise me... Thank you so much, Deborah!!!!
This one makes me smile. Don't tell me you never feel like that!! The amount of stitches I have put in, as you can tell, is rather pathetic, but hey, it's a start.

Unfortunately as a result of my slumpiness I owe Piko and Laurie an apology for not thanking them properly for awarding my little ol' blog with an 'I Love Your Blog' Award!! Thank you both VERY much!! Before the coming of the slumps, though, I managed to finish the floss ring tag exchange that Annemarie invited me for!!

elements from When Witches Go Riding
The Prairie Schooler

stitched on 32ct Country Mocha (Zweigart)

... and a matching scissors fob.

And THESE little beauties are the floss ring tag and scissors fob she stitched for me!!
(check out those adorable kitties at Tamara's Etsy Shop... They are TOO CUTE!!!)

Not only that, she gave both Erik and I this very very special gift!

And finally a little housewarming gift for Margaret that I finished quite a while ago:

freebie Blessed Be
Plum Pudding Needleart

Does this mean I'm back...??? Will there be a 101st??? I guess we'll find out... In the meantime be sure that I will be hanging around, lurking and enjoying your stitchings and ramblings!!

Me and my big mouth

Sometimes it pays to know when to shut up... I left a rather daring comment on Staci's blog last week saying I would happily model her beautiful knitting for her, sweaters, scarfs and dishcloths alike... Well, not only did I give her a laughing fit, she also didn't waste any time picking up her needles to make me eat my words... Look at the colourful package she sent me!! Rings for making floss ring tags, eyelets... and... yes indeed, dishcloths...

I am now officially a dishcloth model... So hold on to your stitching, here we go...

... Staci's Dishcloths... perfect for making your scissors shine!!

...Staci's Dishcloths... will clean up even the dirtiest of stash drawers!!

...Staci's Dishcloths... for those special moments when cookies and stitching go hand in hand!!

Staci's Dishcloths... you know you want them...
