All in a Heart

Our sweet feline, or cardiac Kisse as I call her, gave us quite the scare yesterday. Although her heart holds more love than one can imagine, the muscle itself is failing miserably... More than we already knew...

Not one for self-pity, here she is this morning -- pretending nothing is wrong with her -- modeling All in a Heart (Miss Crescent's Crowne).

I've had my medication, I've shown off your stinkin' stitches, now give me some tuna!

Oh Harmien, I didn't know about it... so sorry to hear it... :( My previous doggie (a legendary one) had a heart problem and I so understand what you feel while Kisse still hangs on to life!!! Hoping she'll stay and thrive as long as possible!!

Harmien, we blijven genieten van Kisse en geven haar al onze liefde, zorg en aandacht...
Dit beestje is uniek!

Liefs, Erik

P.S. dit mag je ook van een Engelse tekst voorzien...

Oh no, Kisse is failing?....
That makes my heart hurt, for I know how much you love her....

Your All in a Heart is wonderful, beautifully stitched!

I have a cat who is the dearest treasure to me. May these days with Kisse be full of wonderful moments. I thought you would like this poem (author is unknown)

Gentle eyes
that see so much,
paws that have
the quiet touch.

Purrs to signal
"all is well"
and show more love
than words can tell.

Graceful movements
touched with pride,
a calming presence
by our side.

A friendship
that will last and grow,
small wonder
why we love them so.

Best wishes to Kisse, and you of course. Her condition is treatable?(medication). Tuna helps in all matters....it certainly does in this house!

Oh, poor Kisse! I hope she is okay and resting well today. It brings tears to my eyes knowing she is unwell. I feel your pain and concern. Yes, please do give her tuna!

I've been meaning to ask; do you like cows? I've always wondered about that as there are some up in your header.
And do you have a suggestion for an easy new cat nip toy shape? I'm tired of mittens, but I don't want something too complicated to time consuming. I thought about a pumpkin, but I don't know how well shaped my pumpkins would be!

So sorry to hear about your Kisse's health scare. Having lost two cats within a year (one to kidney failure at age 17 and the other more recently to an unknown virus at age 1) I can share your pain. Just remember that the time you have had and will have with her is a treasure. She will let you know when it's time...

Well, I think Kisse has stolen the show here. Give her a hug(s). I have 2 kitties I love and I feel your hurt.

Darling picture of stitching but what a beauty in that kitty of yours! Our maine coone's heart isn't as it once was either - she had a spell last year and the vet said she'd sleep more and more and more. Hard to see them slow down the pace so much when they've run around laps.

Take good care and ok she does well. She is beautiful.

We have 2 kitties (13 and 12) and they are the joys of our lives! I can't imagine losing either one of them but I know they are getting up there and it is inevitable. I cherish every day with them as I'm sure you do with Kisses :)

:( Poor Kisse, it's so not fair! ***hugs***

Hugs Harmien! And thanks Cari for the poem.

My prior cat had a heart problem. We suspect it all his life but he was active until almost the end and that helped him quite a bit. He lived to be over 14 years old.

Hugs and kisses to Kisse to make her better.

Oh, no!!

I LOVE seeing photos of dear Kisse! Your stitching is great, but Kisse usually manages to steal the show. :)

Will she be okay with medicine?

So sorry she and you had quite a scare. Hopefully her medicine helps and it doesn't recurr for quite a while. Lovely finishes in your earlier post and in this. I have the love birds by Miss Crecent that I'm looking forward to doing.
